The Bachelor’s of 运动训练临床方向 and Master’s 度 in Athletic 培训 prepare graduates to serve as professional athletic trainers across health and sport settings. Indiana State University has a proud tradition of graduating highly qualified and well regarded Athletic 培训 professionals. In light of recent reviews by the Commission on 认证 of Athletic 培训 Education (CAATE), 国际滑联决定自愿退出认证.

• All students presently enrolled in the BS and MS Athletic 培训 项目 may continue in the program.
• 学生 completing the degree requirements at ISU will graduate from a CAATE accredited program and are eligible to take the Board of Certification Examination.
• The University is eligible to apply for accreditation in two years: May 2021.

We have transitioned our undergraduate 运动训练临床方向 to Master’s of Science in Athletic 培训. 结果，B.S. in 运动训练临床方向 is no longer accepting applications.

The Professional Athletic 培训 (PAT) education program is dedicated to prepare students for employment in entry-level athletic training positions through research, 课程, 以及社区服务.   The PAT supports excellence and develops productive citizens who function as skilled professionals. Coursework in the program/concentration emphasizes strong theoretical foundations within each of the areas in athletic training, as well as critical thinking and problem solving skills associated with obtaining clinical proficiency.

​临床小时

学生 in the clinical concentration will engage in immersive clinical experience after admission into the program. 学生 are assigned to clinical education preceptors at each of the affiliated clinical sites, 无论是校内还是校外. Clinical education hour expectations for athletic training students (ATS) include:

• Sophomore Year - 学生 are assigned to two 7-week rotations each semester with a minimum average between 10-20 hours per week; total of 150 hours per semester
• Junior Year - 学生 partake in pre-season clinical experience and two full semester rotations at different clinical sites with a minimum average of 15-20 hours per week; total of 200 hours per semester
• Senior Year - 学生 can be placed at two full semester rotations or one full year clinical site. Seniors acquire a minimum of 20 hours per week and are encouraged to obtain additional liability insurance to participate in additional clinical education experiences.
