的 University offers a bachelor of arts (BA) in 非洲n 和 非洲n American Studies.

Through a variety of disciplines—history, 英语, 音乐, 心理学, 社会学, 政治科学, 地理位置, 法国, 和 economics—students learn about people of 非洲n ancestry living in the Americas, 非洲, 和西欧. 学生 gain knowledge 和 insights about the 非洲n American intellectual tradition as well as about other cultures, 民族, 和 social movements. 学生 are prepared to be more connected 和 more related to all people, regardless of race.

学生 gain experience outside the classroom through research 和 service projects in the community 和 through opportunities to present their work at regional academic conferences or to attend events such as Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration.

With a major in 非洲n 和 非洲n American Studies, students have maximum flexibility to pursue specialized academic interests in other areas. 学生 sometimes select a related minor or a second major, ranging from communication to 业务 or history, to complement the 非洲n 和 非洲n American Studies major.
